-I'm a clinical social worker/research assistant/cake baker and artist. And I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!
-I'm a perfectionist, which means I need a voice of reason on a pretty regular basis. It comes in handy as a research assistant (I work with numbers and large sets of data), and a cake decorator, but it often becomes a sticking point.
-Speaking of cake, I was 34 when I decided to enroll in culinary school. My mom was a cake decorator when I was young (too young to help), so it's clearly genetic. ;)
-Remembering things is a big issue for me. I can watch something several times before really remembering it, so you will rarely hear me quoting lines from a movie or show. Before the new season of a show starts up, I often go back and re-watch the whole series!
-Since the age of 15, I have had a major crush on Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. I had really good taste as a teenager!
-Laughing is amazing! I love the song "I Love To Laugh" from Mary Poppins and made myself memorize it!
-I have Seasonal Affective Disorder, which means winters in Michigan are tough. Lack of sunlight makes me terribly depressed, and lazy, and depressed. It's a horrible feeling when you don't feel like you have the energy to breathe.
-The older I get, the more girly I become. See that outfit up there? Yeah, the one with all of that bright pink and Hello Kitty? Never would have caught me in that as a teen/young adult. It would have ruined my goth reputation!
-I've been dying my hair black since I was 17, and since I'm now 35, I kind of feel like I should claim it as my "natural" hair color.
-I'm also obsessed with Hello Kitty (was it obvious?) and anything cutesy. Sprinkles, kawaii, rainbows, cupcakes, mini things. I know, it makes me sick, too (not really)!
